We are looking to admit students who, with an inquiring mind, are eager to create an urban concept appropriate for the 21st century, and to realize rich and environmentally harmonious urban spaces.
Basic student selection policy
First semester: Selection is based on overall assessment of the results of National Center Test for University Admissions and individual academic ability tests (mathematics, science (physics, chemistry, foreign languages)), together with diligence reports. In individual academic ability tests, the focus is on basic ability.
Second semester: Selection is based on overall assessment of the results of National Center Test for University Admissions and individual academic ability tests together with diligence reports. In individual academic ability tests, fundamental qualities and abilities are assessed comprehensively.

Profiles of students sought by Department of Urban Environment Systems
We are looking to admit students who, with an inquiring mind, are eager to learn the knowledge of urban space planning, urban infrastructure engineering, urban environmental engineering, and urban information engineering with the aim of creating an “urban concept” suitable for the 21st century, and building rich “cities” in harmony with the natural environment, and to work creatively to solve the problems of modern cities.

For the Department of Urban Environment Systems, we select students who match the educational philosophy and objectives of the course. In the entrance exam, applicants' abilities and qualities are evaluated comprehensively by means of achievement records, oral exams, academic ability tests, and interviews.

We are looking to admit students who have a strong desire to master the insight / thinking to accurately grasp the problems of modern cities based on deep expertise, and conception / execution capability to initiate and realize solution measures, as researchers responsible for creating a “city concept” appropriate for the 21st century, and building rich “cities” in harmony with the natural environment.
